MEET CYPRSS
“I write songs to inspire others to realize that they, too, can thrive despite the worst circumstances.” – CYPRSS
Rochelle DeMint (aka CYPRSS) studied Songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Unsure of her place in the music industry, she took a leap of faith and formed a band of local musicians to perform in a Belmont Showcase. She discovered a passion for performing her music and never looked back. Since then, she has released 8 singles and an EP titled “Shadows.” In her live shows, she combines lyrical depth with high energy and passionate vocals.
Inspired by artists like Twenty One Pilots and Billie Eilish, she writes music about her personal experiences, often covering themes of mental health issues, love, and loss. Her signature song “Underworld” dives into a place of ice-cold terror, describing the thought processes behind an anxiety attack. CYPRSS states: “I envision it becoming an anthem of the anxious as we learn to thrive despite our condition.” The song was featured by Youtube analyst The Pop Song Professor and has since gained over 2,750,000 streams on Spotify. CYPRSS has worked with other independent artists such as Matt Sperrazza, Anna Claire Loftis, and MNERVA through YouTube collaboration, cowriting, and live performances.
It is the mission of CYPRSS to create music that empowers listeners to grow strong in the face of adversity.
